Hello everybody im new to the board and am introducing myself. i have been watching and reading for some time now and joined since i bought my first conquest 87 TSI sunday. anyway, im really looking forward to doing the 4g63 swap, and am already talking to a very reputable dsm tranny builder about doing the dent sport (swap) witht the d-50 case and starion guts. a little background on myself is that i own a turner shop in lower alabama and primarily work on dsm's we have a all wheel drive 92 laser drag car that puts out 600hp and is a blast to drive. we also manufacture some parts for the dsm's and some suzuki's (we also have a 250hp, 1500lb with driver suzuki swift autocross terror). well i will keep people posted (if there is any interest in my doing so) about the tranny conversion, and the business that is doing it said that if if works like its supposed to then they will be more than willing to do them for the public.

thanks

Yeah.. that's why its an SR20DET E30 now.

The transmission went the way of most D50 transmissions... lasted a few months. There are SOME guys that have gotten it to work.. but info is limited on a successful internal swap. I urge you to consider the wideblock.

But anyways.. INFO ON THE SUZUKI!!! That thing sounds silly nuts. Welcome to the site.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

i did not know that theirs bit the dust, that is unfortunate. i think i am hardheaded and am still going to give it a try. :D as for the suzi yea its a blast to drive untill you hit about 4th gear cause its still excellerating at an alarming rate and its high speed handling characteristics are diminishing just about as quickly, so needless to say you need a big hairy set to drive it balls out.
