Put a hood on that thing. I bet you gain a little something on the big end. Great job though man. How cool is it to 60 foot in the 1.3s by letting go of a button?

Looks good.

I'd like to see how the motor plate set up works. If you run the mid plate and a front plate you probably don't even need the passenger and driver side mounts to the k-member. Actually, isn't the point of the motor plates to get rid of the factory style mounts? Wouldn't bother me to ...

I know its been a while since you posted, but are there any progress updates on this one?

Not much except for getting the fuel cell 90% mounted. Using a summit 8 gallon cell in the spare tire well in the trunk. Progress is slow because I'm a candyass who hates working on a project car outside ...

Nicely done. I'm enjoying the color as well. Any idea what the weight of the car is?

Thanks for the interest. As far as I know, lots of people have used -16 line for the main water lines on 4g's without any trouble. Hopefully it works out ok.

Heres a few pics that show some progress. Used -16an lines for the water lines, with a custom thermostat cap and the Jay Racing water pump fitting. Used scrap 3" exhaust pipe I had laying around for the exhaust. Hoping to finish up before the earth runs out of crude oil.

I've ran the intercooler pipes, and built some radiator mounting brackets for the aftermarket Griffin radiator. I could have just used the stock style radiator if the intercooler I have had side exit inlet/outlets. I haven't really touched the car all winter otherwise. I am about to get back to it ...

Bolt the flange to the block before welding it. That may help with the warping.

What do you do about the oil pick up tube when doing the rear sump pan? I tossed around the idea of a rear sump pan as well but couldn't find much info on it for the 4g's. Has anyone actually had problems with the 4g's stock oil pan sump in a rwd configuration?

Looks good. Have you checked the motor's position with the oil pan bolted on? On mine I had to push the motor a good deal foward to get the sump to clear the k-member. That was with the stocker though...

I like the evo 9 intake. I thought about doing that before modifying my magnus intake. What kind of power do the evo guys make with those? Too bad the intake flange isn't the same, that would be too easy. :D

Thanks for the comments. I've got a pretty good idea in my head how I want to do things but I'm sure I will have some questions as I progress. Right now I just want to try and focus on certain parts of the car to complete before moving on. Progress might not be as quick as I'd like because of the ...

Mitsubishi Mustang

Heres my 4g63 rwd project I have been working on. The car is an 89 coupe. Using Bill Hincher's adapter kit to mount the 4g to a turbo 400. Motor is stock for now, but will have plenty of parts to make big power, or blow it to hell. :) Plan to use basic fox body suspension stuff and an average build ...

Driveline angles

I'm currently working on a 4g63 in a fox body build. My question is what kind of driveline (engine/trans) angles did some of you guys use on your rwd projects? I currently have about 2-3 degrees of angle with the tailshaft pointing down (measured at the tailshaft). I might even go another degree ...
