has anyone used a evo intake manifold?

i got a evo 4 intake man on ebay cheep
but there are a few drawbacks: 1 it looks more for a 2g 4g63 head because of the size of the ports, 2 it has its own fuel rail witch bolts on the manifold (leaving the head injector bungs open)

i called my local machine shop they said he could get a core block for like $125

yeah the 2.0l wide block looks like the way to go if i csn find one... what did they put it in ? i heard that the automatic d50 2.0 is a wide block is this true?

i was building the narrow block because thats what i had from my old gsx.

i really havent looked at it to much but i can see that ill have to block off the exhaust port that comes through the head and youll have to use the evo fuel rail because of the locations of the bolts. but if all else fails im just ...
