The only "cables" involved with 1G T/E/L transmissions are the shifter cables. Pressure to the slave cylinder happens via hydraulics through the clutch master cylinder.

Yes, you can use a 1990-94 1G TURBO eprom ECU so long as you replace the OEM chip with a flashed 5 spd or OEM chip

Not only that, in the past couple of years, StarQuests have gone down DRAMATCALLY in price and so have 4G63 engines.
