Using a new transmission will make it start to get complicated I was thinking. Probably swaping in a g54b is the easier way to go to get some turbo power.

Do you know of any 4wd GM transmissions that will bolt up or has available adapters for the 4g63? I know Bushur sells a kit for a rwd GM tranny.

well i know that people have done the g54b swap pretty easily supposedly a bolt on. I was thinking just a stock 4g63 200hp doesnt seem like a lot but it could be for a 20yr old tranny. Always wanted a 4x4 4g63 thought this would be the easiest way to go instead of a 4x4 mighty max

Has anyone thought about a 4g63 swap into a first gen montero? It came with a carbed g54b im assuming mounted transverse since all monteros are 4x4s. Im thinking this would make the mounting a lot easier and the inherent problems with switching the 4g63 into a rwd position. Thoughts?

Does the 4g63t head fit on the 4g64 wideblock from the truck motors? I know most people do the 4g63/64 hybrid with the narrowblocks from the eclipses. I have a crashed 4g63t eclipse that has just front end damage, but spared the engine. This is the first time i've done a swap before, but have ...
