Furthermore, it would'nt hurt if you reversed the "S" and "L" leads. Your applying 12v to both of them, but the "L" terminal needs to be switched. This is cause it would drain your battery overnight if it was'nt. Just don't ground either of those wires . There's only two possible combinations, one ...

Sure, you don't have to use a dash light. It will work with or without.

I can't say 100% sure which terminal is which. My alternator too is missing the stock female B19 connector, and I haven't wired mine up yet. But looking at the service manual, the "L" terminal should be the right side of the ...

Not sure if this is what your asking for, but I’ll share what I know. I’ve cut and pasted some pages from the 1G factory service manual to assist you. But most all internally regulated alternators produced after the late 80’s are wired nearly the same and the 1G is no different.

There are three ...

A "narrow" block 4g will not bolt to the U.S. starion transmission. This is because the KM132 starion transmission is a wideblock transmission. You'll have to find a wideblock 4g to use the starion transmission or find a narrow block transmission to work with your narrow 4g63. This is where the ...

Hey that's my name. Use to go by Herbie when I was younger. No relation to the story though.

Bill, are these adapters for sale or are they still under production. I haven't picked up a powerglide yet but I plan on using one of these when I get to that point. Nice work by the way.

N/A and turbo coilpacks the same?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the 1G 91-94 turbo coilpack and power transistor are the same for the N/A cars?

I have a 1990 turbo engine harness i'm switching over to the 1991-1994 version. I'm at the point where my wires are labeled and i need to find the b14 and b15 connectors to solder in. I ...

Dang, I just posted this in the other thread you hijacked:

Cut and paste

Keep in mind after 1992.5 the 4g63 narrow block were 7 bolt motors. Meaning the six bolt starion flywheel will not bolt to the crank. If you were looking for a factory turbocharged 4G63 I'd be on the lookout for a 1989.5 ...

You gotta start somewhere. You can likely pick up or borrow a non EPROM ECU really cheap. Try that before you go with Megasquirt or any stand alone. Don't complicate things until you understand what everything does and how to modify it later.

You got it Jeff. I had come to that conclusion as ...

That's pretty much what I was thinking but wasn't certain. I was also unsure how the standalone units came wired, whether or not they came with those connectors supplied.. I'll go ahead and keep it on the shopping list of things to get.

Hi guys, been lurking around the site on and off for @ 6 months. I've been trying to put together a recipe for a 4G63/4 drag car project using my 87 conquest parts car. I'm alittle confused on the whole 1G factory ecu + dsmlink versus standalone topic. One question I have is, if I go with a ...
