i have had 5 1g dsm's and i have had problems with 3 of the ecu's (leaking capacitors). if there is no problem with it i would say your CAS is bad

not sure if they go for more in texas. i live in indiana and paid 550 for mine. its an 88 with 90,000 miles. plus i got 200 for the stock motor when i took it out. if it were me i would try to talk him down on the price.

everyone i know has never had a problem. i never buy the kit. i just cut the shaft off and weld the hole shut on the end. on the front shaft i remove it knock the bearings out turn them and put them back in so they block the oil holes. then jb weld the hole in the cover.

i know this is only my first post but i have been reading on this forum for awhile. i just had to comment. i guess anyone can take pics of a garage and say its theirs. i read the other forum and i never saw you post pics of your truck with that engine in it.
