I would be doing this with my 95 coupe, will the dsm trans work find with the hubs and axles and all that good driveline stuff? Im thinking about going Fwd for now, cuz i want it to be a semi cheaper swap (oxymoron) Thanks for the help guys i appreciate it!!! :D

Anyone here has done a 4g in a mirage, im thinkin instead of buying a new car to do the swap in my mirage and make the daily a lil more fun, whats your experience with the swap and what did it require? Holy crap that thing is huge!

I have heard this before :D

but the R-154 is just about the same size, I been busting my butt working on my shop and cleaning up some yard work.

I gotta finish the R-154's and then tackle this trans, it looks much easier than either the w-55's or the R-154 set ...

Bill, there are multiple T56s.

Make sure you know which one it is you'll be using.

I recommend the one from the LT1 Fbodies; they're more plentiful, easier to find, and cheaper and they still have about the same tq. rating.

I know to run an LT1 T56 on an LS1 you need a bellhousing swap, new ...

Im a vr4 guy and no its not anything close to a 4g, also you would want a 1st gen bell housing if you guys want to try this, 2nd gens always crack and have to be reinforced when going to 500+hp
