IS there any diagram that shows which wire is which on the back of the truck cluster? Becuase there are a bunch of wires that run to the back of it. ANd i dont have a manual.

Oh whoops wrong section.


the electrical issue i was having was 2 small grounds off in the engine bay. It was actually one clip. but the guy that was helping me cut the clip to the ground so i didnt know what the wires were. So i found them grounded it out and started right up.

the problem was the act 2600 pressure plate. For some reason the truck just couldnt engage the clutch.

I put the stock dsm pressure plate on it and shifted fine. SO DO NOT TRY TO USE A act 2600. wont work.

I just did a 4g63 swap. and wondering how i hook up the temp gauge so i know what my temp is? what do i have to do?

Got it running wooooo. Took it for a drive built 0 boost, checked all intercooler pipes. then looked at teh turbo. couldnt even spin by hand. not good. Not sure what happend to it.

I just loosened up that cable at the top still trys moving if you try starting it in gear with the clutch in.

Clutch is not engaging.

got my truck running. tryed putting it in gear to drive it and grinds. I used the dsm fwd flywheel with the d50 pilot bearing in it. Im used a new d50 clutch disc with the act 2600 flywheel. i tryed moving the clutch cable manually and nothing. i adjusted the cable from the top and still nothing ...

I didnt think it was that bad besides the truck not starting. idk why its not getting spark at the plug. i have checked everything mechanically it has to be something in the wire i didnt do. What would make the car not get spark?

here is what i have done.

fuel pump ran to pin 2 on MR. it kicks on no problem with that.

Now here is what im unsure of.

I have 1 wire running from the wire on fuse box to pin 3 on the MR.

I have the BW wire from truck coil ran to PIN 3 ON MR.

I have wired the IG1 from the ignition to the MR ...

wasnt i supposed to use one of the wires that went to the trucks coil to run to the dsm ecu? anything you can think of that i should of wired up that could be my problem. or maybe something i did wrong that would cause this problem.

well the truck ignition worked fine. unless i did something when i wired it up to the main dsm relay. wheres the main inline fuse at on the truck? in the engine bay? that small metal box?

I have power at all the plugs. CAS, Igniter, TPS, blah blah when the key is in the on position. not sure if that helps anyone trying to help me diagnose the problem.

Here is what i was told to check for.

"Make sure pin 103 is hot all the time, and that pin 102 and 107 are getting power whenever the car is turned on."




results all pins are constant power. you think thats the problem? 102 is battery and 103 is for the battery and 107 is all for the battery i ...

So L the blue wire runs to the dash and the other B and S run to the + on the battery right? or wrong?

does the L have to be hooked up? does it serve as a ground or something? or can i leave that undone for now?

i did the 4g63 swap in my 87 d50 and it still will not start. I have fuel. and it turns over find but no spark at the spark plug. I know everything is good because i drove the car into the garage before i took the motor out. and the CAS is plugged in. and Ignitor. idk what else to check for. can ...

thanks bill that would be awesome. im still battling my no spark issue anyways so no hurry. ill read up on that link later. but i prolly wont understand it. not very good with wiring diagrams. But i can read what all you wrote maybe ill understand it.

So do i cut the wires out of the dsm? since the alt. wires were not connected to the engine harness. Or do i use the truck alt. wires? the truck engine harness is out of the truck to. so do i need to plug it back in and use the truck alt wires>?

Its an 87. and Im using the mitsu alternator. and i was going to use the wires from the DSM. Im just lost of where they need to be ran too.

Ok so i have the car so it will turn over. got the fuel pump to turn on when the key is on. My other questions is...

How do i wire up the alternator wires. Can anyone tell me where they ran them? like what wires go to what. thats the only thing i have left to do.

And i dont like the sidemount there at all, just has to be there till i find a nice FMIC that will fit and then redo the piping.

4g63 wiring help

Ok so i got all the wires on the harness lengthened. and have no clue what im supposed to do for the alternator and the charging system wires. How do i wire that in.

Also the fuel pump. You just wire a wire from the + to the Pin 2 on the main relay correct?


and What do i do for the Ignition ...

Thats what i thought and thats the one i cut before i started second guessing my self. I know the smaller line goes up further on the side of the gas tank so i thought that would be the return.
