Gday guys

Purchased this wagon with the intention of using it as a cheap daily. I know these engines well and thought I could just chuck on a better carb, a decent exhaust and be happy.
I was wrong.

I am in the midst of a purchasing frenzy

The new pla is as follows.

DOHC 4G63
Custom inlet manifold with twin 45mm carbs
Porting work
Custom exhaust manifold
Ignition computer kit
Strip it out, chuck in secent deats and take it to the track!

As I got it :P

Have decided against turbo due to the obscene cost, plus I think the N/A is better suited to the wagon. Also, I hate electronics so this way I avoid wiring up a complicated ecu

These forums are awesome, stoked to find them

Yeah it should be interesting! I've also decided to flag the twin 45s and go for 4x motorbike carbs from an R1 or similar. Awesome response, sound, easy to set up and I reckon I'll be one of the first in the world to do it to a DOHC 4G63. Plus cheap too!

Will keep this updated, just started a new job so money is a bit thin atm

Are you planning to utilize the stock cas into your computer controlled ignition?

Yeah sure am. Can purchase kits over here for very cheap that you build yourself to suit

What type of sensor is the stock CAS? ie: hall etc?

Depenfing on what year you go with, some are the optical type(I cannot think of the actual name of the device off the top of my head) or the hall effect type. Optical type has a green cover and the hall effect type has a black cover.

Edit, the optical type is an encoder :P

That's cool, either way the computer can deal with it.
