i went and ordered bolts for the converter today, i took it up to the speed shop with me along with the flywheel just in case, and they said its a 10" converter (measuring end to end). Buschur claims its an 8" and the box says 8" How do you measure them? or is end to end the correct way??

its an 8" convertor lol id take your shit elsewhere if they are saying that. you dont measure it from side to side like that

yes i ran 10.76@123 last night!!!!!!!!!! the car is absolutely amazing at this point. this was at 17 psi on 91 piss pump gas. bad news is my convertor took a shit for the 3rd time. im done with this convertor as the welds at the steps on the face cant take the stress of 1.3 60's i guess. im going to yank convertor next week and have them design me a new one piece billet face convertor. after that its a front brake kit cause now the car is SERIOUSLY underbraked, then a boost controller to see what shell do at 25 psi with some 114 octane. if you guys want an example of a good running rwd "DSM" then here it is  this car could be a daily driver at theis point. once the new convertor is in i should have no problems ever again (crosses fingers)

Sounds awsome :D but a bummer about the converter. at least i know what to expect from mine, but i thought it was supposed to be a billet converter anyway?? Glad to hear its in the 10s.
I went to the race shop to pick up my converter bolts fri. and they had short bolts and long bolts, i didnt know which ones i needed since its not a normal setup. so i picked up my converter and flywheel to take it to them to see which ones i needed. and They moved!! man i was pissed off, i wanted to get the motor and tranny in today. so if you dont mind could you tell me which ones i should get--then i will just start ordering stuff again.

my bolts are about 2.25" make sure you use loc-tite on them. also dont tighten one bolt down at a time. you have to slowly tighten them while you turn the motor so it sucks the convertor into the motor or youll fuck your pump up. FYI.

alright, i got my converter bolts. i went with some arp bolts that are alot shorter than 2.5" but we sized them up and they fit so it should all work. anyways for time sake do you still have the bolt sizes for the adapter to the motor and the tranny to the adapter?? If not its no big deal, i have got a couple of buddys comin over this weekend and the next to get everything installed.
I still need to buy a tranny cooler and tranny temp gauge. and mock up a cross member. then i can order my driveshaft. pretty sure the stock length wont fit.

Well I ended up scapping the old motor mounts that everyone else uses because of height issues on the cam gears and the angle of the trans, plus intake issues with the brake booster. So i fabbed up my own solid mounts. Works out great. heres pics.

Now i worn you im not a fabricator or welder. so any comments about how bad it is can be spared.

guess not. I ordered my JMF intake, bought a roll cage, and fabbed up my tranny crossmember. just an update. I will say that with the TH-400 you cant reuse the stock trans Xmember, because of the shape of the pan. However you can reuse it with some modification, if you are using the TH-350.
I will be ordering my header, wastegate and throttle body today!!

heres some pics of the tranny crossmember, and my ghetto fender on my nissan.

the intake was alittle over 500 and the TB was 140. I talked to JMFab. directly and had it modified through them for the RWD. They can also shorten the runners if thats what you need to clear the brake booster.

Im going to pollish the intake myself. Also, i just got the rear section of my roll cage about 75% done today.

fixed the passenger side floor rott. now i can finish the rest of the cage.
