motor fits nicely in there, except for the CAS and thermostat housing, so what i did was cut out the firewall and later i will build a sheetmetal box and screw it to the firewall, this way i wont have to take motrr out to set timing or change thermostat. as far as the brake booster goes, i didnt use the mustang one, i just beat the hell outta the stock one,but i have like an inch clearancein any direction of it.i will be putting the EVO front mount on it, the plan as of now is no front grille, but that might change with time.im gonna have like 3 foot of intercooler piping "ultimate in short route pipe technology" im needing an oil return line right now so im waiting till tomorrow so i can go to junk yard to get one.todays objective is to get the wiring harness finished up, what a pain in the ass,

i banged the firewall out and it fit in well, but no room at all for the brake booster, I'll try and bang it in but I don't think I'm going to be able to make enough room-
do you have any other ideas, and also, can you send a pic of your brake booster so I can see how you did it

well I was banging on it, just a little bit more, and it sprung apart never to go back together again-I really need another option

It took a while but I figured something out. Took a 1g DSM brake booster and a 2g D50 master cylinder-had to modify the firewall (I have a 1g D50) and wheel well a good bit and mess with the linkages but it fits in nice with about an inch to the intake manifold.
It's a good option for anyone is still doing this swap.

only about 4-5 more issues to resolve

Brake update.

Had a major boost leak from the brake booster with with 1g DSM non-turbo booster and MM master cylinder combo. Looks like the proximal end is shaped differently and may be involved with sealing.

DSM on the L, MM on the R

Still leaked significantly when I switched to the DSM master cylinder until i crammed two o-rings in there. No leak into the engine comparment now but leaks into the cockpit at 20 psi.

Anyone have expericence with this? Is this a sign of a bad booster or do I need to get booster specific for turbo 1g's?

Here is why I went with the 1g booster, no room back there at all.

Brake issue II.

The brakes actually work fine, stiff but fine. However, after about 15-20 min of driving around the brakes are "always on". Car stops on its own from roll. After sitting a while all is fine, but then happens again.

Stays the same way when I disconned the booster vacuum line.
Need help, what it happening?

put a return spring on the brake pedal.

Crap. That makes sense. Turns out the check valve in in the vacuum hose. I used straight host.

Looks like I f'd up the booster. Hopefully another one, plus a check valve, will solve the problem.

To the yard.
