Mirage Swap

Post by Diamondback »

Anyone here has done a 4g in a mirage, im thinkin instead of buying a new car to do the swap in my mirage and make the daily a lil more fun, whats your experience with the swap and what did it require? I've done research on the mirage forums about it but i am not understanding the drivetrain combo i would need to run. Thanks!

I've seen the swap done. Most people use the Mirage Turbo car as a starting platform. All of the wiring is already there. Everything should mount up the same with the turbo 4G63. You just need to check things related to the ECU. You might need a wiring harness from a turbo DSM and the ECU. You'll definitely want the DSM tranny as it is much stronger. I believe someone from Road Race Engineering did an AWD Mirage. I know I have a car mag that has the FWD swap. I'll see if I can find any particulars there as well.

All of the info you will ever need to know about swapping a 4g into a 3g mirage:

There are quite a few awd swapped cars out there, most of them are in Ohio.

Contact coltboostin, he has performed the 4g63 swap in a 4g before.
