Don't know if you got it made yet but..
What you could do (what I'm thinking of doing for my boat 'project')
Set you're oil pan on it's attaching face down on a flat surface and measure the highest level of any depression where a gasket will be. (About .5-1" above if you can)
Like stack some wood or what have you to get a marking instrument to that level that you just got above.
Now just hold that marker/paint pen tight to that level and slide it around the whole pan. Cut with a plasma cutter (quick and precise)
Now would be a good time to measure your pickup tube lengths/dims..
You can flip it around and tack/weld back together.
I've got dozens of foreign motor oil pans, and want to cut it like above^ but then want to tap in a "AN" male fitting for an internal 'hose/pick-up' that will be clipped to the bottom of whatever pan/sump I end up with.
It will be about 3/8" off the bottom, along with flat square magnets on the exterior sump for any break-in debris.
Since it's going in a boat, i might make a 5-6qt deeep pan 'cause it's going to be under power at all times. ..BTW it's a 1960 Hydrodyne 18' ski boat
