jayracing front water neck on stock 4g63

Post by DSM_Opel »

Im in the midst of learning and planning a 4g63 swap into my Opel GT.
Its only 2000 lbs stock so i really dont want to do anything to the motor, leaving it stock.
Will the motor cool properly with this jayracing cooling mod for the front ?

yes it will cool properly, but you will have to do a few things. block off original t-stat housing opening on the head. you need to drill a hole in the head and head gasket for the coolant to flow the correct direction in the head (there is a thread with pictures on this website somewhere regarding how to do this). also the original water pump pulley off my 1g talon 4g63 was too big in diameter to properly install this part. you will have to find a smaller diameter mitsu water pump puller to clear it. hopefully that helps you some.
