4g63t into a 2002 triton 4g64 16v need info

Post by nojeff01 »

i have an 02 triton[mighty max?] with a 4g64 16v efi motor and i'm looking to convert to a 4g63t evo motor.is there a gearbox adaptor available or would it be easier to just bolt all the ancillaries off the evo motor on to my block?

ohhhhhhhhhhhh I see >;o))))))))))))))

the EVO 4 through 9 has its own bellhousing bolt pattern just a bit different then the 4G63
All my housings are built to allow the EVO usage, but I cant possibly build housings to so many different applications, they are limited to the 5 designs I already built

at this stage i'm trying to decide whether to do a complete swap of engines or just rebuild my motor with the evo parts on it.not sure of what real power gains are achieveable with a 4g64 using evo manifolds and turbo, but it may be the lessor of two evils in terms of passing inspection for dept of transport.and i'm trying to get as much info to help make the decision one way or another. thanks

If you have a 4G64 with the taller block, I would highly recomend using the EVO parts in the '64 and using longer rods, taking advantage of the long rod ratio and then changing the bellhousing to use the R 154 wide block application because there isnt any 132 trans that will hold up under that power
