I picked up an LSD from a 4x4 Mighty Max a couple months ago with the 3.9 rear in it, but was curious to know if anyone has found the limits of the factory LSD yet. Thanks in advance!

Well, I bought 26" lakewood universals, but they are too long...so I'm going to have to weld a plate it for them to actually contact from the frame to infront of where the leaf spring bolts up and work from there. Eventually, I want to get some radius rods to help it work a little better, but since I already have these, I'll make due.
I didn't feel like making a new thread for this LSD question so I guess I'm reviving an old thread...
What differential fluid do we need to use for the LSD? I picked up mine out of a 4x4 max too and wasn't sure if they required a special gear oil or not.
Man, I hadn't even thought about that. I know the DSMs were supposed to use "special" fluid, but I think I was using a somewhat heavy weighted gear oil. Let me research it and I'll post back.
Its all technically gear oil...I'm sure it couldn't hurt to use something a little thicker...since the Redline is usually thicker than the 75-90W...But good luck with it man!
