Some Hyundais came with the 1.8. This was a big intake port head, with the smaller 43cc combustion chamber of the 1.6 4g61. Otherwise identical to the 4g61. Some JDM 4g61's used this head as well. All the US 4g61's had the small intake port, 43cc combustion chamber head. The small intake ports on ...

The 4G61T head is similar in many respect to the 4G63 Head but there are a few differences:
1. The combustion chamber volume is 43cc in the 61T, and 47cc in the 63T.
2. The 1.8 Liter version has the large intake ports similar to the 1st gen 4G63T. The 1.6 Liter version has the smaller intake ports ...

I'd like to see more proof on this car, since first of all, it looks like that car is far from running. If that is supposed to be a running car, it would have to be a track only car, in which case running something such as methonal would result in no need for coolant, therefore no need for coolant ...

Bill, I am confused, are you saying you are building a drysump unit which will utilize the factory pump? If not which type/brand of external pump are you thinking of. Either which way, I am interested in one (for an AWD motor), and I was thinking of making one up myself. When do you think they will ...

Actually, they are identical, I already measured them. The reason I am going with the 61 is our technical regs, base the minimum weight of the car on the engine size. A 1600cc car only has to weight 1880lbs, whereas a 2000c has to weight 2326lbs. The difference in weight of 446lbs is well worth the ...

Is it really worth all this effort? Stock classes are fun to race in too.
Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt. Seriously. Ran the car with the original evo motor for 5 years in the "stock" configuration. I'mmoving up in class against tube framed transaxled RX-7, so I need something a little ...

4WD Longtitudinal 4G63???
Hello folks, I am new to this site. I am building a tubeframed chassis 4wd road race evo. I would like to know if there is a way to mount, the engine longtitudinaly ( basically a mid engine setup) using one of the RWD transmissions modified like the Group B starion was with the Pajero transfer box ...
