WTB Starion MAF

Has to be nice nice and working. It's for a customer that's very far away so I want to make sure it's good. If you have one I can pay with Paypal. I'd probably ask for some photos also. Please email me if you have one.

1988 Short Wheelbase Raider shell ready for a swap! In MA.

Selling my poor little truck. The motor gave up the ghost after only 2 months of my owning it. The motor is out of the truck now and hopelessy destroyed. This is being sold as a shell, very very clean. I planned on swapping a Nissan RB25det into the truck but time isn't presenting itself. I still ...

The tilt was done to make it fit height wise. Luckily it helped clear the MC also. The BMW motor, (almost all of them) are at an even more severe angle because the hoodline is low on the car and they have to tilt it to fit.

I wish I had more photos. I had like 200 of them on my old computer and i ...

I did this swap a long time ago, probably 4-5 years now. It was a really fun and fast car. Be sure you're doing it for the right reasons. If you want to do it to learn a lot, then do it. If you want a fast reliable car that's cheap, look elsewhere. I originally intended for this car to be an ...

I ran the Montero on the dyno today. Sweet results

41hp in 4wd mode
55.2 in rear wheel drive mode. 90 ft lbs tq.

What a ripper.

Group B, thanks for your responses. I actually got to read that whole thread the other day. I want to approach this project as a "one shot" deal. I want to be able to build it once, and strong enough so it lasts, thus taking no chances on the potential under strengthened transmission.

I installed ...

I'll self-confirm that T case issue. It is on the opposite side. Are there any improved input shaft bearing options? This is beginning to look like a RWD project by the sound of it.

How high does the Starion rev? 6k?

Can we get confirmation on the R series transmission and t case placement? That looks like a good option.

Very good point. I have some experience on that very situation actually. I didn't think of it. I think then, with the 4g63 swap that a RWD transmission would be a must.

What about those who have done turbo starion swaps into the truck, I haven't heard much about bearing problems with their swaps ...

I guess I really would like to confirm that a wideblock 4g64 engine block will:

Bolt to a G64B 4x4 transmission in my truck

and

Accept the 16 valve head from the 4G63.

That would probably be the perfect setup.

I'm not really an offroading enthsiast. I picture using this truck for a daily driver and for some ice racing, maybe a rally-x. I want to be able to drive fast in the snow and rev the engine high enough to be able to slide the car without constantly shifting.

I think that the block is a wide block ...

Most potent swap option for 2.6liter Montero w/4*4 trans.

Hi everyone.

This marks my second post here. Thanks to Bill for email advice also. I just picked up my Dodge Raider G54b 2.6 liter SWB truck yesterday. It's a great little truck. I bought it with the intention of starting to work on an engine swap this summer, perhaps starting the motor build ...

Good thread.

I was thinking about doing this in a small truck I just bought. Aside from being new to diesels, I wanted to know if the bellhousing was the same as the 2.6 liter 4 cyl Montero motor.

And.. another question. Is the turbo version the same bell pattern as the non turbo. The turbo ...
