Only saving grace would be that I could drill the "5th" hole location on a 2g trans to allow the alignment dowel in the 4D68T to mate up.
So, would you have any intersest in making a adapter/spacer to ...

So, here's a good question regarding the dsm/evo 1-3 vs evo 4-9 pattern. How well does the 2g dsm pattern line up with the evo 4-9? They look similiar but the alignment dowel is different.

No, Bill. It's not a 2nd gen DSM pattern. Remember you can bolt together a 2nd gen and 1st gen 4g63. The locating dowels are lower bolt locations. The second pic shows a 1st gen backing plate on it for reference. The holes on the left side, the second hole up is doweled. The pattern is different ...

My internet is insanely slow today (love dial-up!!) so, I didn't visit the earlier posts and I don't recall the earlier discussion.
So, what pattern is this? EVO4-later? Did the EVO line change? Like 4-8 is one pattern, and EVO9 is another?
Story, I've bought 4-5 Mitsubishi diesels. They are all ...

I don't know what else to say other than GM's spec is different. From the company that built/designed the trans.

I went through all the crap of trying to find a metric numbers for everything on the GM trans, yeah, they list metric numbers, but all they did was take existing US standard demensions and converted them to Metric ( broken) numbers IE 1/2 becomes 12.70 mm , the factory never retooled or ...

Hey Morpheus,
Now looking at the depth of the slots on the converter 'neck' (that goes into the pump) has to be deeper than the pump 'fingers' that go in them, how much of the pump 'fingers' are actually in the slots after the pull up?
It's amazing how all power is being transfered to two little 5 ...
