Rwd 4G63 parts
I have decided to put a diesel engine in my rat rod. As much as I love my truck I built this thing with the intention of beating on it constantly. It has turned out to not be as reliable as I would have hoped for. I have worked out all my bugs but, at the end of the day it makes a good cruiser and ...

I finished this vehicle. I unfortunately have to build another motor as the old, stock 4G61 seized on the dyno after our second full pull. The poor little guy just had too many 9000rpm runs in its life. It looks like a few of both the rods and the mains started to go and contamination took out the ...

After seeing all the dollars my friend was spending in the never ending cycle of land speed racing, I decided to take a step back for a while and build a vehicle that if I wanted to some day could be finished for racing if I get that itch again, or just satisfy my need for speed now. I built this my ...

I have had a rough few days trying to figure this out. I was dead set on using the dodge front end and fenders. Well with the way things worked out and how everything sits, the fenders were 16-18" too short. I thought long and hard, and could only come up with two solutions. Run just the grill or ...

A few more things. In a few down moments between working out the bugs on my Samurai's new engine, I finished up a ew things. I made and welded in the rear transmission mount, I finished all but on vacuum line, mounted the boost controller and finished the oil cooler lines and setup. The only line ...

Many moons ago when this engine was in my Colt, in order to run the turbo and exhaust I wanted in that car, we had to move it to the back of the engine. We just used some angle iron, the factory a/c bracket the bolts to the back of the motor and all the factory a/c pulley system. The alternator is ...

I am still waiting on parts for my samurai to finish the engine rebuild, so I have been staying busy on the truck. Made a ton of progress. I mounted the radiator, mounted the oil cooler, ran one of the lines as that is all the line I had left here, cut the fire wall for the transmission, installed ...

I welded the front clip together today. Both my uncles came up with probably the best idea yet for the truck. They said make the front end tilt forward. I am pretty sure I am going to have to do that. I love the idea.

My new samurai had a spun bearing and a bent rod. So I needed to free up some space on one of my engine stands. I actually am running the standard DSM piping route. So that is the main reason for moving the engine so far "forward". I had a little time today between calls so I moved the axle back to its permanent(correct) location. That sure made a huge difference on the steering and that looks and feels right now. We took Retribution to the dyno today to give Nick his baseline. I was wanting to get a little crazy for a change and see what we could do with the car. But once we worked through our issues Nick decided to send the car to Utah on wastegate pressure and turn it up there.
