My car is finally up and running out terrorizing the streets. However, I took a peek today and noticed that my water pump pulley seems to be wobbling. The stock pulley sits on top of the power steering pump pulley to space it out and line up with the crank and alternator pulleys. I basically made a shim out of the power steering pulley, but must have done it wrong. I could have a wobble in the water pump pulley itself, but think I made the error.

What is everyone else using to space the pulley out? Do I even need to shim it? It's only about 1/16", but it might be enough to throw a belt at 7k rpm.

Are you using a DSM water pump or a mighty max water pump? Why not just keep the whole PS pulley ?

I used a max pump and need to find a pulley with a different offset. Anyone have success with that?

On one I used a press to change the offset a little on one. On another, I was able to press off the hub from the shaft and flip it which let me change the offset.

The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
